Strawberry Jam & Lace

Where Old Things Are Made New Again

Home

Welcome to Strawberry Jam & Lace

We are so happy that you found us! We have a passion for things of the past.  As we have brought those things into our lives, we have tweaked them to fit into our home and our modern way of living.

Old recipes (and sometimes old cooking utensils) find a new purpose with Brian in the kitchen. If you have allergies or cook for someone who does, you will find that Brian is our resident expert. He takes some of grandma’s recipes from the past and mixes up yummy stuff that is dairy free or gluten free or any other kind of “free” that might work. He tries to reduce sugar or fat when possible while still making the food taste mmm, mmm, good. So bring your appetite and check out some of his kitchen antics and recipes!

Jill has been a DIY-er since she can remember. Taking old things and breathing new life into them is never work. What can we say, except girls just wanna have fun! Antique, vintage, retro, thrift or yard sale finds – all good candidates for a makeover with Jill. Check out her latest project, how-to, or round up.

As for our village crazy lady? Well. . .she just makes us smile. Most of what she writes about is old-fashioned wisdom or what grandma used to call good old horse sense. Check out her latest simple wisdom ramblings and printables and see if you agree that she really IS crazy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Brian & Jill

We are a mother/son team, who are both “old” souls. We love all things antique, vintage, farmhouse, or anything that inspires us to live more simply. Our passions are cooking, home decor & pretty much anything from the simpler times of yesterday.
